The front garden of this 1920’s home in West Park consists of a sunken rose garden. The planting had become tired and some of the retaining beds were collapsing.
The customer wanted the garden to be made level with the driveway. They also wanted a new path to link the drive to the front door.
The customer settled on a symmetrical circular pattern of planting beds. These were inspired by the colourful stained glass window design in the front door.
The planting style is intended to be loosely formal.
Further work on this front garden design will have to wait for the Covid-19 situation to improve. See http://www.essencegardendesign.co.uk/covid-19-garden-leave-and-social-distancing/
