The clients wanted to change this challenging new build garden into an outdoor space that fits the needs of all the family.
Trees in the design for the front garden would provide privacy from houses overlooking the area. The shrub under-storey would further soften the barren appearance of the new housing development.
The south facing back garden was on two levels. The decking and steps would lead to the lower level. A paved, sunken terrace with pergola would provide shade for outdoor dining. . Low maintenance hedging and perennial planting would add colour, texture and scent. The lower level would be a low maintenance space for free play and trampolining by the children.
The wire gabions would be encased in timber to match the proposed new fencing.
