The customers were planning an extension of their new home but wanted to get a garden design in place before the build began.
The house is set on an angle within its corner plot. The extension will feature a kitchen diner and a new kitchen garden will be an important new area of the garden. A patio for outdoor dining and a sheltered area for playing table tennis were also required. The front entrance is also to be re-configured and the new design would acknowledge this. There has to be a logical circuit around the garden.
Existing hard materials were to be used in the new design as far as possible.
Tree work can also be planned.
The design was taken to an interim sketch design stage as much of the garden construction will be done by the customers themselves.
The architect’s elevation drawings were used to create three- dimensional images giving the clients a more detailed understanding of how the new spaces inter-relate.
